Charity Golf Day

Guildford Lions are once again holding their annual Charity Golf Day on Friday July 10th 2026 at Clandon Regis Golf Club. This year it is in aid of “Cherry Trees” in East Clandon, which provides a lifeline through its home-from-home care for children with complex disabilities, providing a meaningful break for their families. Last year, Cherry Trees supported 67 children from 63 families with more than 52,000 hours of care. This included 1,590 sleepovers and 540 tea or day visits. On top of this core care, they also organised three family activity days, six parent and carer wellbeing days, and provided small but vital grants through our Welfare and Bursary Funds. This wraparound support ensures families get the practical, emotional and financial support they need, when they need it. Providing this lifeline costs £1.9m a year. The day costs £90 per person (£360 per team of 4) and comprises an 18 hole Stableford competition with a 10.00 a.m. Shotgun start, after coffee and bacon rolls, and followed by a 2 course lunch, raffle and auction. There is a massive prize of £10,000 cash for a Hole-in-One at one of the par-3 holes, with smaller prizes at all the other par-3s. In addition there will be individual and team prizes for the best scores.
