At their August Club meeting, as well as 1st Vice District Governor Lion Pete Li, Guildford Lions Club had 3 members of Rotary Guildford Wey as visitors.
Lion President Andrew Henwood warmly welcomed Rotary President Chris Shorter, President Elect Steve Johnson and Rotary Foundation member Andrew Jackson and he presented Chris with their Club bannerette.
Lions and Rotary are the main service charities in Guildford, both supporting the local community and international projects as they are part of worldwide organisations.
During the meeting it became more and more evident that the two clubs have so much in common in respect of their aims and objectives. It was agreed that the two clubs would talk further and hopefully assist each other with future events and projects for the benefit of Guildford. Perhaps there will be a joint activity?
