Each year we try to improve Christmas for some of our local residents who find Christmas an especially difficult time
This year for the first time we decided to hand out supermarket vouchers rather than food parcels so that individuals can select items that suit their dietary needs
We collected money at local supermarkets (a big big thank you to Tesco, Sainsbury and Waitrose for their fantastic support) plus we opened up a Just Giving page – we collected in total £3,400 which allowed us to hand out 170 £20 vouchers to hopefully make Christmas a little bit brighter for some of our more needy residents
