Geoff Sheldon attended the Raft Race on 5 July as our new President for 2025 and just 6 days later presented the prizes at the Lions Charity Golf Day in support of Sight for Surrey.   Seen here with Guildford  Mayor Howard Smith awarding the trophies at the Raft Race.

I was born in Cumberland and moved around the north with work until Wendy and I  arrived in Pinner, Middx in 1976 then finally moving n Guildford in 1988.

I joined Guildford Lions in 2016 and almost immediately took on organising the annual charity raft race.  I am also a member of Burpham Bowling Club where I have served in a number of roles including a spell as President from 2021 to 2023.  I arrange the challenge bowls match between the Lions and the bowling club each September.

I am looking forward to an interesting and varied year as President of Guildford Lions Club, serving our community in its 59th year.
