Sunday 26th April 2026

Last Sunday we were blessed with great weather and a super collection of classic cars and supercars at our Display.

With other classic car events on in the area we still managed about to attract about 70 cars into the High Street. This was closed to other traffic so the pubic could enjoy the cars at their leisure. The mobile phones were very active taking images..

The oldest car present was a locally built 1902 Dennis. Other cars came from every decade up  until 1985 including two rather nice Aston Martins and a Ferrari. We also had two very special Ultimas, effectively very fast and special sports cars built for the road use. However, one, like the ones at our the Display holds the track record at the Top Gear track at nearby Dunsfold.

The Shere Hill Climb had a gazebo with information about their forthcoming event in Clandon, and Team SURTES from the University of Surrey were present with their race car.

With a raffle, programmes, and a bucket collection the event has probably raised about £4,500 for those in need in the community.

The event was sponsored by local estate agents Seymours and we very much thank them for their support, as well the local companies who donated raffle prizes.

We thank the car owners for coming to our event and of course, you, the public. Thank you supporting the event.
