Guildford Lions were very pleased to organise a golf day for Jigsaw Trust and School, and Guildford Lions Community Fund.

Individual runner-up Paul Gibbs

Winning team “The Best Team”

Weren’t we the lucky ones! Apparently while other parts of Guildford had heavy showers Clandon Regis Golf Club bathed in glorious sunshine (well, it didn’t rain) and all the attendees had a great day!

We are pleased to announce that the day was a great success, resulting in a fantastic profit of £6,000 ! All of the profit is going to Jigsaw, as the Lions have decided that their share could not go to a better cause.

The sponsors of the event, PW Mining International Ltd, are extremely pleased with the result for such a worthwhile cause.

Jigsaw is an independent school supporting autistic children and young adults aged 4 to 19 years. The proceeds of the day are to be used for toys, sensory equipment, 6th form outdoor equipment and defibrillators.
The event was attended by 68 very generous golfers, who fully participated in a raffle and auction, as well as the golf. Unfortunately nobody was lucky enough to win the £10,000 Hole-in-One prize – but there’s always next year! The Lions and Jigsaw would like to thank all the attendees for their brilliant support.
